BYD builds 150,000th commercial NEV — an 800 hp Q3 electric semi truck

BYD marked the production of its 150,000th new energy commercial vehicle, an electric Q3 semi truck with a 600 kWh battery and dual 600 kW (about 800 hp) motors. The company sold 53,032 electric trucks in the first nine months of 2026, up 28.46% year-over-year.
