Arizona desert hosts 450 MW solar farm with Tesla-backed batteries
ContourGlobal broke ground on Project Sterling in the Mojave Desert: 760,000 solar panels totaling 509 MW DC plus 360 MW / 1.4 GWh of battery storage. Tesla has contracted about 1 TWh per year, roughly 90% of output, with the plant due online in 2028.
