AWS’s new sign-up gives new accounts spend caps, email invites, and agent-set permissions

AWS introduced a new sign-up process: sign-in via Google, GitHub, or Apple, $100 in Free Tier starter credits, and work within a "project" where access rights are configured by AWS and coding agents. Paid projects get a monthly spend limit from $20, and the project pauses when reached. The change applies only to new customers and is rolling out gradually.
