Google opens public SynthID AI watermark detector

Google has opened synthid.com, its AI watermark checker, to the public after a year of development and early access for journalists. The detector scans images, video and audio for invisible SynthID markers and recognises output from Google, Kakao, NVIDIA and OpenAI models, with Apple Intelligence support coming soon. Users sign in with a Google, OpenAI or Apple account.
