Google DeepMind adds SynthID Bio watermark to AI-designed proteins

DeepMind introduced SynthID Bio, a method that embeds a hidden watermark into AI-generated proteins, adapted from its SynthID text watermarking. The tool can be built into AlphaFold3 and RFdiffusion to distinguish AI designs from experimentally validated structures and reduce biosecurity risks.
