East Fishkill residents push back on 1GW AI datacenter plan

In East Fishkill, New York — once home to IBM chip manufacturing — developer Treetop Companies is exploring a roughly 1-gigawatt AI datacenter spanning 143 acres. The town unanimously imposed a three-year moratorium on datacenters over 20MW before any permit was filed; the developer has appealed.
