Giorgia Meloni files to trademark her voice against AI deepfakes
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has applied to the EUIPO to trademark her voice as a sound mark. The 5 October filing, made in her own name via Italian firm Praxi Intellectual Property, contains a four-second recording of her saying "Io sono Giorgia Meloni" twice. Reuters reports it is aimed at protection against AI-generated deepfakes.
