Malaysia's Budget 2027: NSRC to Build AI App for Scam Detection

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced in the Budget 2027 speech that an AI app will let the public check phone numbers, bank accounts and suspicious links before making transactions. The National Scam Response Centre (NSRC) will develop it; MCMC has already blocked over 5.7 billion scam calls and SMS messages.
