rke2-silicon runs Kubernetes on macOS via Apple Containers
The rke2-silicon project runs a single-node RKE2 or K3s cluster on Apple silicon using Apple Containers instead of containerd and kubelet. Each container is a Linux micro-VM, and the catalog supports Kubernetes 1.36.4 (RKE2 v1.36.4+rke2r1 and K3s v1.36.4+k3s1).
- Requires macOS 26 on Apple silicon and Apple container CLI 1.4.1+
- Catalog supports Kubernetes 1.36.4 for RKE2 and K3s
- CNI, kube-proxy and CoreDNS are not installed; Traefik is a Deployment
- Pods run on 192.168.128.0/24 and reach the GPU broker at port 10443
