TikTok's removed weight-gain filter returns via general AI tools

In March 2025 TikTok removed the filter that made people look heavier, and it vanished from CapCut. By 2026 the same transformation is offered by general-purpose AI image tools like vofy, where no platform moderation or app-store approval applies.

• TikTok pulled the filter in March 2025 after backlash over mockery and lack of consent
• CapCut shipped both directions: the slimming filter stayed, the weight-gain one was removed
• AI tools like vofy offer the effect with no moderation or app-store review
• Demand did not disappear, it moved beyond the platform's reach
