Ransomware attack on IDCF Cloud hits 495 Japanese firms and agencies
In the early hours of October 7, 2026, parts of IDCF Cloud, operated by SoftBank subsidiary IDC Frontier, went offline after a ransomware attack. The company said 495 contracted organizations were affected, including the Ibaraki Prefectural government and police, whose websites were still down on October 8.
