World's largest flexible DC transformer, rated 770 MVA, installed in Guangzhou

A 770 MVA, 220 kV flexible DC transformer — the world's largest — has been installed in Guangzhou's Tianhe district as part of the Tianhe Tangxia back-to-back project. The 49-meter station will add 900 MW of reliable support for about 350,000 households.
