Informa Buys Clarion for $2.96B, Gains Control of IFA Berlin and ICE

On Oct. 6, 2026, Informa PLC agreed to acquire Clarion Events from Blackstone for £2.24 billion ($2.96 billion). The deal gives the world's largest B2B events group control of IFA Berlin (240,000 visitors) and ICE Barcelona. The price is 11.1x Clarion's projected 2027 EBITDA, or about 8–9x including synergies.
