Engineer Rebuilds Free Open-Source Photoshop and Premiere Rivals Using AI

Software engineer Brandon Thomas has released ArtCraft, a free open-source suite recreating Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Lightroom, Acrobat, After Effects and InDesign. The seven apps were written in Rust with Anthropic's Opus 5.5 AI model and are available in alpha for macOS, Windows and Linux.
