TikTok sued over alleged access restrictions in northern Nigeria
Nigeria's Foundation for Digital Justice filed a fundamental-rights suit at the Federal High Court in Abuja on October 5, asking it to rule that alleged TikTok access restrictions in Kaduna, Kano, Kebbi and Sokoto violate users' rights to expression and freedom from discrimination. Disruptions began around September 11, 2026, and TikTok has not commented.
