Unicode 18.0 Released with 13,007 New Characters

The Unicode Consortium released Unicode 18.0 with 13,007 new characters, bringing the total to 172,808. It adds three scripts, three currency symbols, nine emoji and seven new blocks; most new characters come from ancient seal script (11,328).
