US Army picks six companies for frontline robot mules
The U.S. Army has selected six companies for its Infantry Last Tactical Mile program to build autonomous ground vehicles for frontline resupply and casualty evacuation. BLADE submitted its six-wheeled diesel-electric hybrid Hunter WOLF, which carries up to 1,270 kg and is rated at Technology Readiness Level 9.
- Six companies: BLADE, Maren-Go, Overland AI, Forterra, Hendrick's Motorsports and American Rheinmetall
- Hunter WOLF carries up to 1,270 kg and handles 60% grades and 40% side slopes
- Prototypes will face an operational assessment with an Army unit in early 2027
- Hunter WOLF has served since 2017, with 60+ field exercises including US, Australian and Ukrainian forces
