OpenAI introduced Spaces and Pages in ChatGPT and Codex: deliverables live on a separate canvas while edits are applied in place from a chat sidebar. Persistent page rules act as ground truth instead of conversation history.

• Edits overwrite the target block in place, leaving the rest of the canvas intact
• Fixed constraints are written into durable pages and apply to turns under them
• Complex workflows become sibling pages inside one Space folder
