OpenAI speeds up GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol by 50% on day one of 28-day Codex sprint

OpenAI's Codex engineering lead Thibault Sottiaux pledged to ship a "clear improvement" for most Codex and ChatGPT Work users every day for 28 days — or hand out a full usage reset instead. The first result sped up GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol from roughly 30 to 50 tokens per second.
