Australian privacy watchdog investigates China-based maker of Kmart smartglasses app

Australian privacy commissioner Carly Kind has opened an investigation into Shenzhen Qingcheng, the developer of the HeyCyan app used in Kmart's $89 smartglasses, after the company failed to respond to inquiries. The Anko-branded glasses, which record photos and HD video, sparked outrage over covert filming and have been pulled from Kmart's website.
