Android Canary 2609 adds ‘Require unlock for Quick Settings’ on Pixel

Google released Android Canary 2609 with September 2026 security patch for Pixel smartphones. A new 'Require unlock for Quick Settings' option requires unlocking for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, mobile data and airplane mode. Support for Pixel 6 and 6 Pro has ended, with Pixel 11 to be added in the next release.
