Solana is preparing a four-stage slot reduction from 400 to 200 ms via four feature gates (350, 300, 250, 200 ms), each activated with 95% stake support. Block compute limit will drop from 60 to 30 million units, blockhash validity will shrink from 60 to 30 seconds, and epoch from two days to one.
