AWS confirms permanent customer data loss after Iranian strikes on Bahrain and UAE facilities

Amazon Web Services has acknowledged that Iranian drone strikes on its Middle East infrastructure caused permanent loss of customer data stored in Bahrain and the UAE. The disclosure came about six months after the attacks; many services were restored, but data not replicated outside the affected region could not be recovered.
