Nvidia to acquire Hugging Face for $12.9B

Nvidia plans to spend $12.9 billion — the largest acquisition in its history — to buy Hugging Face, the platform where developers pick, fine-tune and ship AI models. The deal follows efforts by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and AMD to reduce reliance on Nvidia hardware.
