China's answer to Hugging Face: ModelScope and MoArk grow

With Hugging Face blocked in China, domestic open-model platforms are expanding: Alibaba's ModelScope hosts over 170,000 models and 250 million users, while OSChina's MoArk serves about 20,000 models. Fears that Washington could ban Chinese models from Hugging Face are accelerating efforts to build a fully sovereign AI stack, including adapting models to run on Chinese chips.
