Russia Overtakes U.S. in EV and PHEV Market Share
EVs and plug-in hybrids reached 11.5% of Russia's new car market by late September, up from about 5% at the start of the year, according to Autostat. Gasoline shortages after Ukrainian refinery strikes pushed buyers toward Chinese plug-in models, lifting Russia above the U.S. share.
