AT&T breach settlement: most claimants get under $10, not $5,000

A $177 million settlement over two 2024 AT&T data breaches won final approval, with most claimants estimated to receive under $10. Tier 1 claimants whose Social Security numbers were exposed get about $39–40, Tier 2 about $7.50–8.10, and Tier 3 about $6.50–7.10. The $5,000 and $2,500 caps apply only to documented losses.
