Desktop 3D printer sales jump 34% to 5.2 million in 2025

AMPOWER and MTDG estimate 5.2 million desktop 3D printers were sold worldwide in 2025, up 34% from 3.88 million in 2024, with filament consumption rising almost 43% to about 60,000 tonnes. China makes 94% of desktop printers, and the five largest suppliers account for 86% of sales.
