X-energy pushes helium-cooled Xe-100 reactors for industrial heat

X-energy is developing small modular reactors with helium cooling that can supply high-temperature heat for industry and up to 80 MW of electricity. Its first TRISO-X fuel plant is due in 2028, and a project for Dow in Texas could be operational by the early 2030s.
