iOS 27 to offer new way to redeem Apple Gift Cards

Code in the iOS 27 Release Candidate revealed a new feature: Apple gift cards can be redeemed by tapping them to the back of an iPhone. The card will verify authenticity and balance, and show status as blocked or canceled if needed.

• Redemption via NFC: tap card to top of iPhone's back
• iOS 27 compatible with iPhone 11 and newer, all support NFC
• Cards will say hold iPhone here to redeem
• Manual redemption via apple.com/redeem will remain
