OMNIVISION launches industry's first 2.2-micron global shutter HDR sensor for machine vision
OMNIVISION unveiled the OG05D, the industry's first 5MP 2.2-micron global shutter CMOS sensor with HDR, aimed at industrial machine vision and robotics. It outputs up to 146 fps in linear mode (143% faster than the previous generation), supports >70dB HDR in a single exposure and uses Nyxel NIR technology with >55% QE at 850nm. Sampling is available now, with mass production set for Q4 2026.
- 5MP BSI global shutter, 2.2-micron pixel, 1/2.5-inch optical format
- Up to 146 fps linear mode, 143% faster than previous generation
- >70dB single-exposure HDR; Nyxel QE >55% at 850nm and >35% at 940nm
- 30% smaller and lower power than prior 5MP sensor; mass production in Q4 2026
