Surface Laptop 15 Gen 8 review: Intel version beats Snapdragon

NotebookCheck reviewed the Surface Laptop 15 Gen 8 and found the Intel Core Ultra X7 368H model superior to the Snapdragon variant thanks to a faster iGPU, Thunderbolt 4 and better app compatibility. The business version with Core Ultra X starts at $2749.99, but the single-fan cooling and pricey RAM upgrades are drawbacks.

• Intel model offers more GPU performance and Thunderbolt 4 vs USB 4 on Snapdragon
• IPS touchscreen at 3270x2180, 120 Hz, up to 537 nits, no PWM flickering
• Single fan can't fully exploit Panther Lake; 65W adapter is insufficient under load
• Surface Laptop 15 for Business with Core Ultra X starts at $2749.99
