Sales of Sub-€25,000 EVs in Europe Set to Rise Sevenfold in 2026

T&E's latest report says EU CO2 targets are driving a wave of affordable EVs: sales of models starting below €25,000 are set to rise sevenfold in 2026 versus 2024. Nearly 40 new electric models launched in H1 2026, bringing mass-market BEVs to over 150. BEV sales hit 1.64 million units from January to August, up 45% year on year.
