Modder cuts RTX 5090 12V-2×6 cable load with dual 8-pin add-on

Modder DallasGrave soldered a PCB onto the 12V-2×6 header and added two 8-pin connectors, spreading the RTX 5090's 575W across three cables. The 16-pin cable temperature dropped by 15°C and current fell to 3A, staying below 40°C during a 48-hour 550W load. The modder claims a PNY partnership to keep the warranty valid.
