Apple's rumored home security camera won't record video

According to Mark Gurman, Apple is developing a home camera under project J450, a companion to the J490 smart home display. The device does not record video or photos: a low-frame-rate sensor analyzes the environment via AI and produces text descriptions with facial recognition.

• Project J450 is a companion camera to the J490 smart display
• No video recording — only AI-generated text descriptions
• Facial recognition tells users who entered a room
• Technology is similar to Apple's rumored camera-equipped AirPods
