Google downgrades Gemini access for free and AI Plus subscribers
Starting October 9, Google will restrict newer Gemini models for free users and AI Plus subscribers paying $4.99 a month. Free users will be limited to Gemini 3.5-Flash-Lite, while AI Plus loses access to Gemini 3.1 Pro and newer reasoning models. AI Pro and Ultra subscribers keep their existing perks, including the Deep Thinking option.
