Ex-PlayStation boss doubts fans will pay $1,000 for PS6 and Project Helix
Former PlayStation boss Shawn Layden is sceptical that buyers will pay around $1,000 for the PS6 and Xbox Project Helix if the gains amount to little more than ray tracing and teraflops. He says console performance has hit a plateau and no longer delivers the leap seen from PS1 to PS2 or VHS to DVD.
