Federal judge rules Flock search unconstitutional as lawmakers push Ban Flock Act

Oklahoma federal judge Sara Hill ruled that a Flock database search violated the Fourth Amendment, calling AI-powered license plate readers indiscriminate mass surveillance. Sanders, Merkley and Ocasio-Cortez introduced the Ban Flock Act to bar federal agencies from using ALPRs, while Rep. Greg Steube proposed a warrant requirement.
