Regent Opens Seaglider Factory in Rhode Island, Wins Marine Corps Contract
Regent Craft opened a 255,000-square-foot Seaglider Manufacturing Facility in Quonset Business Park, Rhode Island, and secured a new $5 million contract from the U.S. Marine Corps Warfighting Lab, bringing the defense partnership to $19.25 million. The electric Viceroy Seaglider promises 180 miles (290 km) on a single charge at 180 mph thanks to ground-effect aerodynamics and maritime rules that require no fuel reserve.
