Frontline Education breach exposes school district employee data

Edtech firm Frontline Education is notifying school districts of a data breach after attackers exploited a third-party software vulnerability to steal employee data, including Social Security numbers, emails and addresses. One district reported 1,210 employees affected; victims are offered two years of free credit monitoring via TransUnion.
