Alibaba in early talks with Spain's Solaria over data centre power
Alibaba has held preliminary talks with Spanish solar producer Solaria about supplying power to a data centre in Puertollano, about 240 km south of Madrid. The 200MW project on 100,000 square metres would run on renewable power. Spain is drafting a decree requiring data centre operators to be established in the EU and keep all data inside European borders.
