IRS chief pushes 'AI-first IRS' to boost agency productivity
IRS CEO Frank Bisignano told employees that an 'AI-first IRS' will make the workforce more productive, speed up return processing and shrink the tax gap. He said AI won't eliminate jobs, and amended return processing has already dropped from 12–16 weeks to under three days.
