Flock drones deployed as first responders in some US cities
Several US cities are piloting Flock's Drones-as-First-Responder system, in which remotely operated drones launch automatically from rooftop docks in response to 911 calls, license-plate alerts or gunshot detection and stream live video to dispatchers. In Fort Worth, the drone flew to 162 emergency calls over a two-month pilot with an average response time of 112 seconds and arrived first in 76 of them. Other cities rejected the service over privacy concerns.
