FireSat constellation targets early wildfire detection from space
Earth Fire Alliance and Muon Space launched the first three satellites of the FireSat constellation, purpose-built for early wildfire detection. The system can spot fires as small as 5 by 5 meters, and the full 50-satellite network is designed to image every point on Earth every 20 minutes.
