CATL Widens Lead in EV Batteries as Korean Makers Slip to 12.7%

Global EV battery usage rose 19.7% year-on-year to 844.2 GWh in January–August 2026, according to SNE Research. CATL's share climbed to 39.4%, the top seven Chinese firms reached 73.3%, while LG Energy Solution, SK On and Samsung SDI together fell to 12.7%.

• CATL's share rose from 37.7% to 39.4% on 333.0 GWh of usage (+25.2%)
