1GW data center campus planned at former Scottish nuclear plant for £16.5bn
CX Tech has filed plans with Dumfries & Galloway Council for a roughly 1GW data center campus at the former Chapelcross nuclear site in Scotland. The £16.5 billion project covers eight buildings totaling 162,000 sqm and is slated for construction between 2027 and 2035, powered exclusively by renewables.
