Texas clears full-scale drilling test for deep burial of spent nuclear fuel

The Texas Railroad Commission issued a drilling permit to Deep Isolation for its Commercialization Pilot near Cameron. The full-scale demonstration will use non-radioactive materials to test deep borehole disposal, with Halliburton drilling the new well.
