Lynas to acquire Brazil's Caldeira heavy rare earth deposit for A$968M
Australia's Lynas Rare Earths signed a binding deal to buy Meteoric Resources' Caldeira project in Brazil for about A$968 million (US$672 million). The deposit holds 41,000 tonnes of dysprosium-terbium oxide reserves, offering Western manufacturers an alternative to Chinese-controlled heavy rare earths.

- Caldeira resource: 1,631 Mt at 2,317 ppm TREO, including 41,000 t DyTb
- Planned output of 12,500 t TREO per year, including 127 t DyTb
