Quinnipiac poll: 73% of Americans fear AI threatens human survival
A national Quinnipiac University poll found that 73% of Americans are concerned AI could threaten human survival, while 74% have little or no trust in AI company leaders. 52% worry more about humans misusing AI, and 33% about harm from autonomous AI agents. The poll follows a White House accord on AI safety signed by Meta, OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, Google and Nvidia.
