Google releases Viewer, a media editing app for Googlebook

Google has published the Viewer app on the Play Store as the media editing tool for its Googlebook platform, handling images, video, audio and PDFs in one place. It includes AI suggestions, annotation tools, PDF signatures and an "Edit in Photos" button in the video player. The first Googlebooks ship this Sunday.

• Viewer combines viewing and editing of photos, video, audio and PDFs
• AI suggests adding detected dates to Google Calendar and routes to Maps
• PDF tools support text, annotations and signatures
• The app runs on tablets, but some UI is limited by display size
